Articulation Activities

Create engaging activities to target articulation goals, helping clients practice and improve specific speech sounds, by using the Word Studio or by choosing from ready-made activities.

Creating Your Own Articulation Activities

Click “Create An Activity” to open the Word Studio, where you can design personalized activities for articulation work.

Searching & Selecting Words

Use the side panel filters to find words with specific consonants, vowels, syllable structures, or phonological patterns. Narrow results by sound position (initial, medial, final) or by the number of syllables to fit your client’s articulation needs.

Choose a media type standard image, isolated image (white background), illustration, or text, or type a target word in the search bar.

Selected words will appear in your word list on the side.

Editing Your Word List

Drag & drop to reorder words.

Click ❌ to remove a word.

Add more words to the list anytime.

When the list is ready, click “Let’s Go” and select a template to launch your custom activity.

✨Previously, it was possible to select phrases and short sentences based on syllable structure. We are now improving and upgrading this feature, and soon phrases and full sentences will also be available in the Studio. In the meantime, you can use the word image library and apply the filters to refine your search.✨

Choosing an Activity Template

After clicking “Let’s Go”, select one of the available templates:

Adjust template settings to match your client’s needs, then click “Start” to begin the session.

Saving and Reusing Word Lists

Click “+ List” to save your custom list for future use.

Access saved lists under “My Lists”, edit them as needed, and click “Save.”

Advanced Search for Articulation Goals

Use the Advanced tab in the Studio to refine your search even further, select phonemes, their position, or create partial transcriptions to find rhyming words or specific sound sequences.

For example, you can find rhyming words by selecting the target rhyming phonemes:

Sharing with Clients

Open any saved list or ready-made activity and choose a template - Flash Cards or Memory Pairs.

Choose your activity features and click “Save to Boards.”

Name the activity, select a board, and click Go to Board to send.

Share via Email, QR Code, or copy the board link to share on any channel (such as WhatsApp), you may add a short message for your client.

Using Ready-Made Articulation Activities

You can also skip building a list from scratch and work with pre-made activities organized by specific sounds or phonological processes.

Go to “Find Activity” and Browse by Subject.

Select the consonant that matches your client’s goals and explore activities such as:

• Minimal Pairs
• Speech Sound Picture Scenes
• Sorting

These ready-made activities provide quick, targeted practice and can be shared with clients just like custom activities.
