Create an Activity with AI
Short on time? The AI Activity Creator (currently in Beta) builds a tailored therapy activity from a plain-language description, then fine-tunes it by asking you a few clinical questions. When it's ready, you save it to your workspace and add it to a board to use in a session or send for self-practice.
Before you start
When you open the creator you'll be asked to confirm two things: that you will not enter any client personal or identifying information (names, ID numbers, contact details, etc.), and that you understand the generated content is based on your input and you're responsible for reviewing it before using it with clients.
1. Open the AI Activity Creator
From the home screen, open Create and select the AI Activity Creator (Beta).

2. Confirm and choose how to start
Tick the two confirmation boxes (no client personal information; you'll review the output before use). Then choose Create activity from scratch, or Start with existing templates if you'd like a head start.

3. Describe the activity
In the prompt box, describe what you need in your own words — for example, "Create an easy sequencing activity for young children about daily routines. Include 6 short scenarios of 4 steps each, with clear, child-friendly images and simple sentences". Select Examples if you'd like inspiration for how to phrase it.

4. Set the clinical settings
Under Clinical Settings, choose the options that suit your client: Design Style (Neutral, Child-Friendly, or Mature-Tone), Animation Style, Feedback, and Visual Display. When you're ready, select Create!

5. Answer a few clarifying questions
Cognishine will ask a few targeted questions to tailor the activity — such as the therapeutic goal (e.g. Language Comprehension, Expressive Language, Memory, Attention, or Activities of Daily Living) and the kind of activity you want. Answer them in the left-hand panel, or type your own response if 'other'.

6. Let Cognishine build it
Once it has what it needs, Cognishine generates the activity (you'll see Creating Activity…). This can take a few minutes.

7. Review and refine
Preview the finished activity — you can switch between desktop, tablet, and phone views. To change anything, keep chatting in the left panel to refine it, or select Restart to begin again.
8. Save to a board
When you're happy with it, select Save Activity to save the activity to a board, ready to use in a session or send for self-practice.
Tip
Because activities are AI-generated, always review the content before using it with a client — and never include client-identifying details in your prompt. Once saved, see Boards & Self-Practice for sharing and self-practice.
